Our Kitty is VERY SICK!! UPDATE~~AWESOME NEWS!!!

Miss Kitty was not herself all weekend. FH brought her to the vet this morning and they said she is very sick. They said she is dehydrated and it might be her liver. They are going to run tests today and keep her on an IV. FH is hysterical crying at home. This is his baby, he has had her her since birth. The bills are incredibly high as well. The tests alone are costing over $1000. But what are we to do, she is our baby. I just feel so bad that I am at work and can't be with FH. He is so upset, it hurts calling him and hearing him cry. That alone makes me cry. Please say a quick little prayer for Miss Kitty that she is OK and comes home soon. Thank you.

Get well Miss Kitty. I will pray that she gets well soon.
Our one cat was very sick also when we first got him. He had an upper respiratory infection and we spotted some blood on his nose. We were worried about him too. We took him to the vet. My husband had to give him medication every day and I even bought a humidifier for him to help him get well.
Please let us know how she is doing.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I just went through it with my kitty and I know, you see the costs and all you can think is how can I not try everything- our cat was just like our little baby.

Well, Miss Kitty is still very sick. Some tests done so far today have shown she has a very inflamed kidney. They say she may need a kidney transplant. $$$. But what can we do. We love her so much and FH has already asked about the money issue and they said they will set up a payment plan if need be. Please keep your fingers crossed that she will be ok and not need this transplant. These expenses are not coming at the best time, we are two months away from our wedding, looking at a vet bill at $2000 already.Thank you all.

My heart goes out to you!

I had a similar situation with my dog. Ultimately I decided not to put her through the agony of surgery. I'm a firm believer in the notion that people have to suffer but animals don't.

Well, we went and visited with Miss Kitty for about an hour tonight. The vet said that the sonigram they did showed that the kidneys were not too too bad. But he said she is very sick and will have to stay and keep getting IV fluids and antibiotics until atleast Thursday. She was so sad to see us leave, but she did look a little better while we were there. She was wagging her tail a bit, which I take as a good sign since she didn't wag it all weekend. We have to call tomorrow morning to get the rest of the test results and we'll see where we go from there. I am staying positive. FH is devastated and misses his baby so much. He started crying when I got home. Hopefully we will get some good news tomorrow and she will be back home with us soon. Thank you all for your prayers, keep them coming, they are working.

First of all, to you, your FH and of course, to Miss Kitty.

About a year ago, our cat got sick and it was her kidneys. Kidney problems is very common in cats. Edna was diagnosed with kidney disease (along with hyperthyroidism). So she has to eat special diet food and the vet needs to moniter her kidneys. She is doing very well and has learned to like her special food.

Please keep us updated. I remember when Edna was in the hospital - I was so sad. It is never easy leaving your pet behind.
