My baby needs a name.....

I need help with a name. Hopefully you guys won't mind doing this for me. We are just having a helluva time. Now if I post my last name my husband will probably leave me for dead somewhere so please keep in mind our last name is Italian, it is 4 syllables, starts with an S and ends with an "ee" sound. I know that doesn't help much but it's the best I can do.

We are going to be using Margaret as a middle name after my husband's Grandmother.

Please try to take into consideration the possible nicknames and all that. Thanks guys!!!!

I voted for Isabella. I kmow it is getting incredibly popular right nw, but I really love it!!!

At least you have a list to choose from Jenny. Nick and I can't agree on anything. So I think this baby will be called Baby No Name

Sweetie, you KNOW I *LOVE* Isabella...I plan on naming my own daughter that someday (if I have one), and I *adore* Bella as a nickname....that said...Isabella also has 4 syllables (like your last name) and I wonder if it will just be a mouthful to say with your last name, OR if it will just be too "sing-songy" if that makes sense?

I voted for Lola...I think it's simpler, yet beautiful...and the name itself has a special place in my own heart.

I voted for Lia. I think Sophia and Isabella are way too popular (although both are very very pretty) and I dont like the other names as much. Lia is a pretty name that is short which compliments a longer last name (and middle name) nicely. I think it sounds nice with Margaret too.

Im afraid to say I dont think this poll is going to help you narrow it down.

Well I would probably go with one of the shorter names since your last name sounds pretty long. I always hated having such a long name growing up. But they are all beautiful names. Do any of them have and significance to you and hubby?

I totally understand you husband killing you if you posted the last name, mine is the same way he didn't even like me posting our pictures. They are all Italiano. I LOVE AMELIA. It makes me think strong independant women! There are not too many nicknames to think of. I love Gabreila (Sp) but think people may call her Gabby. I love all your names, is there one you keep coming back to??? Good luck

I voted for Sophia. And I am glad to see you're thinking of spelling it with a ph and not an f.

That is also one of the girls names I have picked out if God graces us with a girl.

If I could vote twice, my second choice would be Isabella.

as for the 4 syllable thing...I wouldn't worry...i think Isabella Rossilini has a great flow to it...and if you have the "EE" sound at the end...it may be similar...if thats the name you like...

thanks all! i dont' know why it's so hard...i just like so many of the options. I do love Isabella, but the popularity stops me now and again. And yes Erica - my name sounds very much like Rosselini!

I guess I have to wait to see her!

I vote for Amelia, since Lia is its nickname. Plus, it is my niece's name and she is so cute.

I voted on newlyweds too but I like Isabella and sophia second

you can even combine the two! both are beautiful names

My sister actually had a very similar issue when she was trying to figure out names for my neice. She was torn between two names (i think) they were Alexandrea and Tabitha.

Immediately after seeing my niece, my sister said that she was her Alexandrea... no question about it.

So who knows, you may look at your little girl and instantly have a name that pops out at you!

I voted for Lia, its my favorites Sorority sister's name and my favorite photographer Even tho' I like Isabella and a couple others you cannot go wrong. Rose is also my aunt's name. I love Sophia I know I did help at all
