Since you are getting married in Sept, I would recommend you go now and purchase soon. The bridal salon laughed at me because I went in October and my wedding is Feb. They said they had to put a 'rush' on it....since it's only 4 months away lol ...Well I still don't have it ...so I would recommend you do it asap.

I think it depends on the designer. The first time I went to look at dresses I had no intent to buy, but then the saleslady said it takes 8 MONTHS for it to come in I bought it on the spot

I would say you should start looking now and have a dress ordered by the end of the year. When I picked my dress my salon told me I should order it no later than November to be safe and I am getting married the same weekend as you.

My salon told me that the dress I picked would take 6-9 months to come in. They were right. I ordered it in Jan/Feb and it just came in October.

mrswask- I ordered it from Lillettes and it was a Diamond Bridal. My guess is that b/c my wedding was more than a year away, they didn't order it right away.

I agree with the other girls - definitely start looking now and order it by January so they don't need to put a "rush" on it because some designers do take a couple months for it to come in. Goodluck - Have fun shopping!

I ordered mine exactly one year before the date of my wedding. The place said it will take 6-8 months for it to come in.

I heard from multiple places that it takes 6-8 months to come in and one place said if you find it , order it because if yo uwait a few months they might discontinue it.
I ordered mine I think 11 months before
