My honeymoon review about all the great places in Hawaii!!
Hi, well David and I are back from Hawaii and I must say we had the best wedding and honeymoon!!!
I wanted to share our great finds in Hawaii:
Sheraton Waikiki: A++ We have always loved the Sheraton chain, great service! 15 minutes after we checked in a welcome HM bottle of champagne arrived.
Hy's Steak house in Waikiki: A+ WOW!!! YUMMY!! Traditional steak house food was great! Request a table were you can sit and see the chef grilling all the steaks! There is a glass enclosed room, were you can see the steaks cooked. Services was excellent and reasonable prices for some vvery nice bottles of wine
Alan Wong's Restaurant on Oahu: A +++++++++ Worth going to Oahu just for this meal! If you go spend the extra $$$ for the chef's tasting meal with the wine pairing. And go hungry. We had the 7 course tasting and wow it was a ton of food!
Royal Hawaiian Mai Tae bar: Great drinks, best veiws of sunsets!
Now for Maui- I did not want to leave Maui!!!
Sheraton Maui A +++++++++++++++++ I think it was the prettiest hotel in Maui. Great location, fabulous pool, very helpful staff-- all you'd expect in a resort.
As honeymooners we got: free breakfasts, free room upgrade, and a free bottle of champagne
now for the food in Maui:
David Paul's in Lahaina: A +++++++++ Amazing. Again we had the chef's tasting, which was more like a sample of the most popular menu items. Everything was great. The service exceptional and they gave us a really nice Congratulations card.
The Old Lahaina Luau: C We are just not buffet/Luau people I guess. This is suppose to be the best Luau and we were really unimpressed.
The Feast at Lele: A+ A sit-down luau type dinner show put together by the same people as the Old Lahaina Luau. We really liked this type of dining experience so much more than the Luau. A 5 course meal, which has all types of Polynesian food mixed mini shows from the countries that the food is from. Great food and service!
More to come later!
