My job helping Children's Charities

Every year my brokerage firm has a day called "Miracle Day" in which we donate all our fees and commissions to children's charities. This year's Miracle Day is on Dec 3.
I know this is a long shot. But..
We are trying to get famous people (news, actors, sport figures) to come and make an appearance to kick off the day.
Last year we had:
Rosanna Scotto from Channel 5 News, Boomer Esiason, Miss USA, Dan Akroyd, Mayor Bloomberg, Sarah Hughes (the Olympic Figure Skating Gold Medalist), and one of the actors from the Sopranos.
Most of the stars we get plan on coming and cancel the last minute. We are having a hard time getting people this year
I know I don't know any famous people, but if anyone has some contacts based on their jobs or personal contacts to get these famous people to cheer us on while we trade some stocks to make money for Children's Charities.. please let me know!
I think we raised about 14 million last year (in 1 day!)

Thanks. It is amazing..I think. Most clients trade with us more that day because they know the money is going to a good cause and not in our pockets.
We all wear T-shirts that day and the news media is on our trading floor. Last year was my first year on the trading floor and I almost fainted when I bumped into Dan Akroyd near my desk!

As a Fundraiser I'm always looking for "famous" and "important" people for events. They're hard to get and you're right alot of times they cancel out last minute. Some people I've worked with were Kim Berk (K-JOY, 98.3), Roberta Flack, The God Squad (Msgr. Tom Hartman and Rabbi Marc Gelman, they cancel last minute ALL the time!). Unfortunately they were contacts from our Board of Directors.

Your company should be commended...it's a wonderful thing you're doing!
