Florists who do white lights and tulle over dance floor? ADDED PIC FINALLY!!

Has anyone hired a florist to do this? Any suggestions on florists you know who do this?

I've never heard of this, it sounds really pretty. Do you mean the perimeter of the dance floor? Just curious

I saw it at most of the halls I looked at. They all had house florists, which included Stefan's, Spitz and Peck, and Dalsimer, so I assume at least one of those does it. It looks sooo pretty!

Most of them do. Pedestals does it for Crest Hollow all the time.

I love that look too and was confused about how to get it. But it seemed to me that it's something provided by many halls. If you look at Flowerfield pictures, it's something that's hanging all the time and provided by the hall. When FH and I went to see the Riviera, they were setting up for a wedding and there were people hanging it up. Manager said that it's theirs and so many brides requested it that they do it as part of the package now, but is optional. I would double check with the hall about whether they already have that capability or not. If not, I'm sure a florist would do it (or one of those places that's a florist/event coordinator so they do more than just flowers). Good luck!

I dont have any pics to show (not only am I a wedding newbie, Im also a scanner newbie) There are pics of this idea in both Flowers by Brian and Pedestals brochures. I have spoken with some florists, but Im getting a lot of mixed feedback in terms of how long it takes to put up. I am the night wedding at NRC, the day bride was booked before I was, so they only have an hour and a half to do. I was looking to see if anyone has done this before

Ive tried to attach a pic of the lights over the dance floor 5 times. Im still today getting all kinds of responses from florists. Jack and Rose is booked for the day!

This was one of the attractions that drew me to flowerfield. It was stunning! I loved it.

I met with Joseph from Pedestals today, and they do the lights, and they can do it in the short amount of time. I liked him a lot, great ideas for the bridesmaids bo-ks based on the pic of their dress that I showed him.

Amy - do the florists recommend it for the North Ritz??? I am getting married there also - but i feel like the ceiling might be a little too low for that -I might now rememebr htough since i've only seen the hall twice and havent seen it since this summer.

AtticaQT--hi there!!

The ceiling at NRC over the dance floor is actually higher than the rest of the room, its indented/concaved, I dont know the exact word to describe it. Pedestals said they were there at the beginning of the month hanging a tapestry (again, i need my thesaurus tonight) over the dance floor. Christina said its been done several times also. So its not like Im reinventing the wheel or anything, Im just trying to find the right vendor, who I dont think is just trying to get me to book with them by saying they can do it. Thats how I felt after meeting with a certian florist. (not Pedestals, I liked them a lot. )

Oh that sounds so cool - i totally forgot about the ceiling above the dance floor - hmm sounds like i need to go see my hall again!

I have to pass this by FH now - he's going to flip! I am always coming up with new things for our wedding that I see from teh LIWeddings - whenever I tell him I have another idea the first thing he asks is from who on LIW did i get this idea!

James Cress does the lights and tulle above the dance floor at Flowerfield. He takes it down and does a whole new one every year or 6 months.

Ive gotten quotes between $1000 and $1500, depending upon what you are using the florist for. Like if you hire the florist only for lights, its higher, but if you use them for your whole wedding, the price may go down. I fall in the middle b.c I am doing my own c-pieces for the reception, so I dont need the florist for that.
