Fans as programs
I am getting married in Aug and I think it would be nice if the wedding progrms were on fans. That way god forbid if it is hot in the church or in the cocktail room which is outside they have the fans to use. But I need help in finding the necessary tools to make them myself

Re: Fans as programs
My secretary went to a wedding where the programs were fans that the couple made themselves. The fan part was oaktag cut into a large heart with those frilly edge scissors and the handle part was a large tongue depressor.
They looked really cute!

Re: Fans as programs
We were married in August and used fans as programs and they were such a HIT!!! It was also pretty hot in the church so people actually used them as fans. We were laughing on the alter.
My sister did all of the printing. I have no idea how. I put them together with tongue depressors, glue, cardtock and ribbon. It was tedious but pretty easy

Re: Fans as programs
Yep. I got everything from Michael's. Go when there is a sale. I got the cardstock there, tongue depressors (they come in a big box) ribbon and glue. They were actually pretty inexpensive to make. You just need to know how to print it out (which I'm sorry but can't help you with)Any other questions I can help. Just ask!!
Oh, and you need scissors to make the top the way it is. I got the wave scissors from Michaels as well

Re: Fans as programs
These were my programs. I used paint stirrers that I got at a hardware store and I sanded and painted them. They did come with a nice scalloped edge though. For the paper, I cut with a curved fabric cutter. I just got heavy paper from Office Max. Let me know if you need more help with them. It was very tedious and time consuming but they came out great.
