To all the BTDT Moms, and to the TTC girls and the PG girls

How are you planning or did you tell DH your were pregnant. I have a couple of things in mind but i am not sure and wanted to see what others have done.

it was just shock when I came from the DR that I said

"You love me right"
He said YES
"Do you love "us""?

Took him a sec to figure it out but he got it and was excited!

claud no im not officially pregnant yet, but this is our ovulation week, so i was thinking if it happens what will i tell him

I couldn't hold it in. I just showed him the HPT and asked him if he saw the line too?

My story of finding out I was preggo was such a surprise to me, that anything I did to tell DH would have been more of a surprise to him....

When he came home from work that night, he asked how my doctors appointment was. I told him I was good, and that I got a glowingly "positive" checkup. Took him awhile to figure it out, and then I showed him my sonogram picture.

At 10:30pm I just couldn't stand waiting for AF anymore. I KNEW if I just took the HPT it would be negative and the next morning I would wake up to AF. Well a very faint double line was in the "window" I was shocked. My DH was upstairs on the computer. I called my best friend and said, "I think I see 2 lines" she told me to take another test (THANK GOD for double test packages) first thing in the morning. Well I didn't say a word to DH. At 4:30am I woke up, and I couldn't stand it anymore. I took the test, say 2 pink lines and woke him saying "Honey, how many lines do you see" He couldn't see anything because he was sound asleep. He got the light one and said "2 lines" and I started bawling. We hugged and went back to bed. Of course, I held my stomach for the next few hours and dreamed about babies.

I put the sonogram picture in a frame that said "I love my Daddy". He was in awe. It was great!

I wrote a poem...I think I still remember it...

9 whole months... it seems so long,
but before you know it I'll be born.
I'll grow and grow inside mommies belly,
and I'll be out as soon as I'm ready.
I can't wait to be held in your arms,
you'll keep me warm and safe from harm.
I promise to bring you lots of joy,
whether I'm a girl or boy.
All I know is I'm so glad
that I'll have you for my dad!

I put it on really nice paper and put it in a picture frame.

I was a little shocked as you all know - as was my husband. He came home and I stood there in shock with the test in my hand and said "I am pretty sure we have a swimmie."

Mature, right?! Next time I'll try for something a little more adult!!!!!!

I never thought of surprising him

We will be trying on purpose, so I think when I don't have AF, I will be taking the test with him present. I think it will be exciting to find out together

As is, he goes on my GYN appts with me now (OK - is that TMI?

Sassy..that's not too much info. My DH has gone with me before.

I always thought when I becomepregnant that I would show him the test. I see all these cute ideas and maybe I will change my mind!

We kinda knew on our honeymoon because AF was late so we took a test together the night we got home from our honeymoon(thank God for 24 hour CVS) So at like 2:30 in the morning we found out together

I always wanted to buy a baby jets jersey wrap it up and give it to him and when he opens it tell him that in 9 months there will be a NEW jets fan in the house.

Suzanne..that is a great idea!
My husband is a Yankees fan and I am a Mets fan. I don't think the jersey idea would work for us. I wouldn't buy a Yankees jersey and he would probably throw the Mets one away!
