How do you plan the day of the Rehersal and the Rehersal Dinner

Which one comes first? Does everyone attend or is someone always missing?

I think I want to have the RD at my mothers house in the bronx, (everyone resided in the bronx as well), but the hall is in LI. How should I plan this?

Typically, you will have your rehearsal and then the rehearsal dinner.

Ususally, the groom's parents arrange for the RD.

If you are having your rehearsal on LI, I would also have the RD in LI, just because that is a lot of traveling for your RD guests. Depending on what time your rehearsal is, you could arrange something like a rehearsal lunch in the Bronx and then come down here for the rehearsal. It's all up to you.

Typically you do the rehearsal then the rehearsal dinner thereafter.

I think it would be good to have them both in the same area (meaning LI) to cut down on traveling.

In relation to your question.... I was wondering.... if you're having your ceremony at the same place the reception is- does the hall allow you to have your rehearsal there? Or do I need to find another place to do that?

The hall should allow you to have your rehearsal there. I am getting married in the hall's chapel and that is where my rehearsal will take place.

See I thought that having the RD in the Bronx will cut down on traveling.

I am thinking if we travel from BX to LI and back again would be easier than traveling from BX to LI restaurant then to LI hall and then back home. Or am I wrong? I am loosing my mind!

ahhh i see your point.....

Then it should be ok to have the RD at your mom's in the BX and the Rehearsal in LI.
